Located at 770 Liberty View Ct, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, Famous Toastery operates as an american restaurant serving Winston-Salem in North Carolina. This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

A review from a self-proclaimed French toast connoisseur... I stopped by Famous Toastery for brunch on a weekday and had such a nice experience. The service was wonderful. I had the patio to myself, and my waiter was attentive without making me feel like I was being hovered over, which can sometimes get awkward when a restaurant isn't particularly busy. It was the perfect balance. I started with their salted caramel Lavazza espresso drink. I can't remember the exact name, which is probably fitting because I'd say it was just okay. Definitely not memorable, but no worries because it all got better from there. The French toast gets five stars for presentation, for sure. In my opinion, perfect French toast is all in the bread, and a slight sourdough flavor is usually what really makes it pop. I thought theirs was lacking just a little in that department. I also like my French toast slightly overcooked, and they absolutely nailed that at my request. Overall, I'd give the French toast about a 4.25/5. I paired it with bacon, which was thick and cooked perfectly the way I like it, right in the middle between overly crispy and floppy. I also tried the breakfast potatoes. They definite

I had my baby sprinkle this past Saturday, and let me just sayβ€”10/10, highly recommend! The food was amazing, the hospitality leading up to the celebration was exceptional, and the entire staff was phenomenal. A special shoutout to Cate for being so sweet, welcoming, and attentive to my family and me throughout the experience. Thank you for helping make such a special occasion so memorable. We truly appreciate everything you did to make our celebration one to remember! πŸ’•βœ¨

Overall mid experience. The atmosphere was great; cute decor and lights, good music. However, service and food were lacking. We were greeted almost instantly, but our drinks (a water and sweet tea) took nearly 10 minutes to arrive and it wasn’t even really busy. As for the food, if you zoom in you can see the cinnamon roll was a disappointment. For $8.50 you would think it would be a lot better - it was stale and doughy. Our bowls weren’t great either. Again if you zoom in you can see the cheese wasn’t even melted in mine. Stuffed french toast was pretty good, and the mac and cheese was absolutely immaculate, I even got some to go- which warranted the 3 stars. I likely would not be back considering the experience and we live 35 minutes away.

(UPDATE) Ordered oatmeal "with blueberries and strawberries" this time to save a little money, Instead of my regular $17 Omelette. Just $10.25 (with tax and 20% mandatory group tip) . . . for a bowl of oatmeal, for gosh sakes! It came with exactly 3 blueberries and one (1) strawberry cut into thirds. Last visit, it was one (1) piece of toast with my omelet. That's all they could afford. CHINTZY! GREEDY! I'm giving up on this place . . . WAY OVER-PRICED . . . I'm done! Tired of the rip-off attitude and BS. Try Zoe's Family Diner. (2 locations in WS) Much bigger portions for half the price! And a friendly staff. πŸ˜ƒ (ORIGINAL POST) Excellent food and service. I got a veggie omelette with spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes . . . plus home fries on the grill. Ask for Clark and Leslie . . . They'll take great care of you!

1st time here. I enjoyed the breakfast bowl I got with the sausage gravy. The margarita flight was good. The water is really good here too. My daughter enjoyed her country ham with her breakfast bowl. I will come back here to try other dishes.
